We had Habitat for Humanity out to demolish the dilapidated shed in our back yard. They found a large honeycomb in the wall (covering about 10 square feet). Had we known it was that large, we would have looked into having a beekeeper come and remove it prior to the demolition. Unfortunately, it was sprayed with poison, so none of the honey was salvageable. I feel horrible about all the little bee lives lost. No more royal jelly for dinner.
